Occupational Therapist - Inpatient

Location: Bemidji, Minnesota
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
Shift: Monday to Friday, day shift; no call or weekends; will not work alone
Schedule Notes: Potential to float to Outpatient; willingness to cross-train to Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) for intermittent coverage preferred but not required

Job Description

• Evaluation and treatment of a variety of adult patient diagnoses in an acute hospital setting
• Common diagnoses include general deconditioning, total joint replacement, post-op orthopedic cases, some neurological diagnoses, and general medical-surgical conditions
• Use of EPIC electronic medical record system

Required Qualifications

• Active Minnesota Occupational Therapy license
• Active BLS certification (AHA)
• Minimum 1 year recent inpatient hospital experience within the past 3 years
• Experience in acute care setting preferred
• Willingness to float to outpatient units if needed

Additional Information

• Typical caseload averages 30-40 patients
• Dress code: Charcoal grey scrubs or business casual
• Orientation includes computer-based organizational training and one-on-one EPIC and department orientation
• Clinicians must badge in and out at the facility

• Prior work with this health system requires a minimum 6-month gap before reapplying
• No prior travel experience explicitly required
