• Schedule: 0630-1900 and 1830-0700
• Cyclic scheduling

Required Qualifications

• RN
• BLS
• ACLS
• NIHSS
• Driver’s license required at submittal
• Must be outside 50 miles
• Cannot be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity
• Artificial nails are prohibited in patient care departments
• Must pass an open-book exam during orientation with a score of 90% or higher

Unit Details

• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:4
• Charge nurse takes a full patient assignment
• Nurse aide/patient care tech ratio: 1:10
• Common patient types: heart failure, Afib, respiratory distress, stroke
• RNs are required to titrate drips
• Common drips: Cardizem, amiodarone, nitro
• RNs must read and interpret telemetry strips
• RT equipment on unit includes CPAP
• Floating: ICU, if appropriate and experienced
• Orientation: 1 12-hour shift in the department

Scheduling Requirements

• Every other weekend
• 1 major holiday and 1 minor holiday
• RTO needed upfront; additional RTO will not be approved
