Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Pennsylvania Registered Nurse license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) meeting American Heart Association Healthcare Provider standards, renewed every two years
Experience
- One year of nursing experience preferred
Job Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care following established standards and practices
- Assist providers with patient care and education
- Participate in coordination of patient care with patients, families, caregivers, and the healthcare team
Knowledge and Skills
- Practical nursing principles and skills for patient care and treatment
- Common safety hazards and precautions
- Office procedures and medical terminology
- Basic ICD-10 and CPT coding guidelines
- Clear communication and ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to remain calm in emergency situations
- Ability to identify problems, prioritize, make quick decisions, and recommend solutions
- Ability to administer medications and treatments and use equipment for examinations and treatment procedures
