LPN Post Acute LTC Nights

Location: Lewiston, Maine Employment Type: Contract Contract Length: 13 weeks Shift: Nights, 7 PM to 7 AM, 4 x 12-hour shifts

Role Summary

The LPN partners with residents and other care providers to create a safe and comfortable therapeutic environment by providing direct and indirect care.

Units

3 East: 31-bed specialized unit for residents with Alzheimer's/dementia. Care uses verbal and non-verbal communication techniques and addresses difficult behaviors, which may be valid communications. Serves residents needing long-term placement in a home-like environment.
Transitional Rehabilitation Unit: 42-bed unit on the second floor providing short-term skilled nursing and rehab for patients recovering from fractures, joint replacements, back surgery, stroke, and other short-term illnesses or injuries. Nursing services often include IV therapy, wound care, and geriatric assessment and management.
3 West: 42-bed long-term care unit providing care for residents needing long-term placement in a home-like environment.

Required Qualifications

Valid LPN/LVN license in Maine
Minimum of 2 years of Long Term Care experience, including experience within the last year
BLS certification
NIHSS certification
Associate's degree in nursing, or completion of an LPN (practical nursing) program
