Registered Nurse (NICU) - Travel Contract

Location: Austin, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Night Shift)
Hours per Week: 36
Call Requirements: No on-call required

Unit Overview

Unit Type: Level 3-4 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
Number of Beds: 97
Staffing: Approximately 200 staff members
Typical Night Shift Staff: Primarily RNs and 1 clerk
Patient Ratios: 3-4 patients per RN
Equipment Used: Medfusion pumps, Alaris pumps, Giraffe isolettes, GE monitors
Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: CPN, Meditech

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
Minimum 2 years of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) experience, including experience within the last year
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Work Environment & Culture

Dress Code: Navy scrubs only; no nail polish or artificial nails allowed
Personality Fit: Friendly, outgoing, compassionate
Typical Procedures: NICU-specific care consistent with Level 3-4 neonatal patients
