Registered Nurse (Progressive Care Unit) - Travel Assignment

Contract Length: 13 weeks

• 154-bed hospital serving Northeast Texas and Southeast Oklahoma
• Level 3 Trauma Center
• Level 1 NICU
• Joint Commission Accredited Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI
• Advanced Primary Stroke Care Center
• Top 5% nationally for orthopedic outcomes
• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) with 21 beds
• Patient population: Geriatric and adult
• Patient ratio: 4:1
• Electronic Health Record system: MEDITECH

Work Schedule & Hours

• Shift: Night
• Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
• Weekend hours: 48 hours per month
• Shift pattern: 4x10 hour shifts, Tuesday through Friday (3x12 shifts not accommodated)
• Orientation held weekly on Mondays

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Progressive Care Unit (PCU), including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Current certifications prior to start:

  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)

• Dress code: Black scrubs required
• Candidates must live 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify for travel status
