Overview

• Travel RN role in the Emergency Department
• 1 opening
• 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM shift
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 10 weekend shifts per contract
• Must be flexible for days, mids, and nights; there is no set schedule of how many days each shift will be scheduled

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Maine
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• 2 years of Emergency Department experience
• Emergency Department experience within the last year
• ACLS
• BLS
• PALS
• TNCC
• Experience working with Ortho Trauma patients
• Experience working with Stroke patients
• Management of dysrhythmias
• Blood Product Administration
• Phlebotomy
• Starting IVs
• Continuous IV sedation
• IV vasopressors
• Procedural Sedation Administration
• CVA
• Experience with Cerner

Preferred Qualifications

• CPI
• NRP
• Critical Access experience

Clinical Experience / Skills

• Management of dysrhythmias
• Blood product administration
• Phlebotomy
• Starting IVs
• Continuous IV sedation
• IV vasopressors
• Procedural sedation administration
• CVA

• Head injury
• Isolation precautions

Unit / Setting

• Emergency Department in a 25-bed critical access hospital
• Provides 24/7 Emergency Care, medical-surgical services, oncology, hematology, podiatry, orthopedics, cardiology, diagnostic services, radiology, and diabetics education
• Patient ratio: 1:4
• Equipment includes Level I infuser and telestroke
• Common cases include acute emergency patients and stabilization/transfer for trauma, STEMI, stroke, and code situations
