Location: Louisville, Kentucky

Position Details
- Role: Registered Nurse (RN)
- Specialty: Rehabilitation
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Night Shift)
- Weekly Hours: 36 hours guaranteed
- Weekend Hours: Every third weekend, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
- Call Requirements: None
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Number of Openings: 1
- Experience Required: Minimum 2 years
- Required Certifications: BLS, NIHSS
- Float Requirements: Must be willing to float to other units within the facility
Unit Information
- Department: Neuro (Spinal Floor / Brain Injury)
- Number of Beds: 28
- Patient Ratios:
- Day Shift: 1 nurse to 6 patients
- Night Shift: 1 nurse to 8 patients
- Equipment Used:
- Tube feeding
- Ventilators
- Tracheostomy care
- Alaris IV Pumps
- Hoyer lifts
- Kangaroo pumps
- Negative pressure wound therapy
- Suction devices
- Electronic Medical Records (EMR): Cerner and ITW
Skills & Experience
- Must Have:
- Tracheostomy care
- G-Tube management
- Preferred:
- Medical-Surgical experience
Candidate Requirements
- Must be at least 50 miles from the facility to be considered
- Must be flu vaccinated
- Personality fit: Compassionate, good communicator, willing to educate patients and families, self-learner
Dress Code
- Scrub Color: Galaxy Blue
- Unacceptable Attire: Hoodies, t-shirts, sweatshirts, or any clothing outside the uniform
