Job Opportunity: Cardiac Cath Lab Tech (Travel)

Location: Thousand Oaks, California
Employment Type: Travel

Unit Information

• Setting: Cardiac Cath Labs, Main Hospital, 1st Floor
• Rooms: 3 Cath/EP/Hybrid/Structural Heart rooms
• Staffing: 3 staff members per room (RNs and Radiologic Technologists)
• Shifts:

  • Day Shift: 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM (10-hour shifts)
  • Night Shift: On call only
• Patient Ratios: 3 patients per case
• Equipment: GE and Philips labs, Mac Lab/Cardiolab
• EMR System: Meditech

Required Skills and Experience

• Must Have:

  • Cath Lab Circulating experience (RN)
  • Scrub experience as a Radiologic Technologist
• Preferred:

  • Experience with Mac Lab/Cardiolab systems

Typical Procedures

• Left/Right heart catheterizations
• Angioplasty and stent placement
• IVUS (Intravascular Ultrasound)
• ICE (Intracardiac Echocardiography)
• Atherectomy
• Atrial Fibrillation Ablations
• Micra’s ICDs, Pacemakers, Lead extraction
• Structural Heart procedures including TAVR, TMVR, Tricuspid, LAAC (Watchman), PFO/ASD closures

Certifications Required

• Registered Nurse License (for Circulator role)
• Registered Radiologic Technologist License with Fluoroscopy & ARRT certification

Additional Information

• Floating Area: Registered Nurses may assist in the Cardiovascular Observation Unit (Pre/Post care)
• Dress Code: Own scrubs or blue hospital scrubs allowed
• Work Schedule:

  • 1 weekend per month
  • 1 night call per week (3:30 PM onward)

Contract Length

• 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
