Travel RN Opportunity – Operating Room (OR)

Location: Portland, Maine

Position Details

Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room (OR)
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 26 weeks (approximately 6 months)
Shift:
- 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (36 hours) or
- 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (40 hours)
- Occasional weekends or call
Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
Call Requirements: Occasional
Float Requirements: No

Experience & Certifications

Required Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty (Operating Room)
Required Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
Preferred Certifications:
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – preferred but not required
- AORN (Association of periOperative Registered Nurses) certification – a plus

Unit & Patient Information

Patient Population: Pediatric to geriatric patients
Procedures:
- Laryngoscopy
- Sinus surgery
- Facial plastics and trauma
- Cochlear implants
- Oral surgery
- Complex head and neck cancer surgery
- Tonsillectomy
- Tympanoplasty
Trauma Level: Level 1 trauma center
EMR System: EPIC

Required Skills & Attributes

Experience with ENT, Dental, Plastics, Pediatrics, and Trauma cases
Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment
Flexible, patient-oriented, and a team player

Dress Code

Scrubs provided

Additional Notes

No floating to other units required
Weekend hours typically 36 hours unless otherwise noted
