Occupational Therapist (OT) - Travel Position

Location: Longview, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks

• Employment Type: Travel

Facility & Unit Information

• Unit: Occupational Therapy Department
• Number of Beds: 36
• Patient Ratios: 5 to 6 patients per therapist
• Equipment: Therapeutic Equipment
• EHR System: Wellsky
• Patient Population: Geriatric, adult

Required Qualifications

• Licensure: Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
• Certifications: Current BLS/CPR certification
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy or related field
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in occupational therapy (preferred in all aspects of OT)
• Skills:

  • Ability to assess patient needs and initiate appropriate OT interventions
  • Effective oral and written communication skills in English (additional languages preferred but not required)
  • Ability to work cooperatively within an interdisciplinary team
  • Observes and evaluates treatment effectiveness and progress toward goals
  • Recommends changes to physicians as needed

• Neuro diagnoses including:

  • CVA (Stroke)
  • Parkinson’s Disease
  • Spinal Cord Injury (SCI)
  • Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)
• Orthopedics
• Cardiopulmonary conditions
• Amputee care
• Medically complex patients
