Occupational Therapist (OT) Travel Position

Location: Independence, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel

Unit Information

• Setting: Inpatient Rehab, 4th Floor
• Unit Size: 16 bed inpatient rehab unit within a 285 bed Level 2 Trauma Center
• Staffing: 14 total staff (11 acute care OTs, 4 rehab OTs)
• Patient Ratios: Acute care 12:1, Rehab 4-5:1
• Equipment: Standard rehab gym equipment
• EMR System: Meditech

Schedule & Shift

• Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Preferred Days: Tuesday-Saturday or Sunday-Thursday
• Weekend Coverage: Weekend help needed most; if working Monday-Friday, expect 1 weekend every 6 weeks
• Call: None

Required Qualifications

• Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT)
• BLS Certification
• OTR Certification
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Occupational Therapy specialty

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in acute care and/or rehab settings

Typical Duties

• Conduct evaluations and treatments
• Assist with ADLs (Activities of Daily Living) and mobility

Dress Code

• Scrubs color: Eggplant
• Adherence to unit dress policies required
