Travel RN Opportunity - Louisiana (Coushatta)

Position Details

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) - Med-Surg
• Location: Coushatta, Louisiana
• Employment Type: Travel (Full Time)
• Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM

  • Schedule: Monday-Tuesday on, Wednesday-Thursday off, Friday-Sunday on, following Monday-Tuesday off, Wednesday-Thursday on, Friday-Sunday off (rotating)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks

Experience & Education

• Minimum 1 year of experience in related nursing specialty preferred
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
• Current RN license in Louisiana or compact license
• BLS certification required

Patient Population & Responsibilities

• Manage a wide range of Med-Surg cases including pneumonia, cardiovascular issues, and telemetry monitoring patients
• Perform nursing tasks such as dressing changes, managing IV drips, inserting and maintaining IV lines, and caring for NG and PEG tubes
• Provide routine and complex nursing care independently
• Use nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Administer medications and treatments following protocols; monitor side effects and effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate tasks to other care providers
