Job Opportunity: Nuclear Med Tech

Location: Okeechobee, Florida
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

Number of Beds: 100
Staffing: Typically only 1 Nuclear Med Tech on staff; contract worker must be able to work independently
Shift: Day shift only (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM), no call, no weekends
Patient Volume: Approximately 40 nuclear medicine exams per month
Common Procedures: Stress, Lung, Bone, GI Bleeding, Thyroids, Lymphoscintigraphy
Equipment: GE Discovery
Documentation Systems: Meditech and PACS
Call Requirements: None

Required Qualifications

Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in Florida
Nuclear Medicine Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience, including experience within the last year
ARRT (N) certification
BLS certification
Experience in Nuclear Med Tech - Radiology

Additional Information

Dress Code: Black scrubs (top and bottom)
Department is ACR accredited

This position is ideal for an experienced Nuclear Med Tech who is comfortable working independently in a smaller unit with a moderate patient volume and no weekend or call responsibilities.
