Registered Nurse - Stepdown

Location: Fort Smith, Arkansas
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night
Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours

Job Description

Provide nursing care in a Stepdown unit.
Must have experience with post-cardiovascular surgeries.
Skilled in titrating cardiac drips including Nitro, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and Esmolol.
Experience with Bipap and Airvo respiratory support devices.
Ability to recognize and respond to deteriorating patients.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arkansas.
Minimum 1 year of experience in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) within the last year.
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
Current NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification.
Experience with post-cardiovascular surgeries.
Experience titrating cardiac drips including Nitro, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and Esmolol.
Experience with BiPAP and Airvo respiratory support devices.

Additional Information

No weekend or call requirements.
Dress code: Black scrubs.
Electronic Medical Record system used: EPIC.
