Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Location: Los Alamos, New Mexico

Job Details

• Acute care facility with 47 beds and approximately 300 healthcare employees
• Orientation is held weekly on Mondays
• Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as travel staff
• Travel assignments start with a 14-day waiver period while fingerprint background check results are pending; during this time, supervision is required
• All clinical staff must be fingerprinted before hire and provide documentation that the check is in process (required by New Mexico state regulations)

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico
• Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Emergency Department (ED) nursing, including experience within the last year
• Certifications required at submission (certifications are not available onsite):

  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (CPI)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Additional Notes

• The client may require additional certifications beyond those listed
• Compliance with New Mexico Department of Health fingerprinting and background check procedures is mandatory
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
