Job Opportunity: Surgical Technologist (CST/ORT)

Location: Lander, Wyoming
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

As a Surgical Technologist, you will work within the operating room to assist surgeons, nurses, and anesthesiologists by handing necessary instruments and anticipating their needs to ensure efficient surgeries. Responsibilities include:

• Setting up and maintaining the surgical field
• Collaborating with nurses and doctors during procedures
• Assembling, transporting, and retrieving surgical equipment, ensuring all items leave the room
• Inspecting, maintaining, decontaminating, and repairing surgical equipment
• Keeping inventory records up to date
• Conducting pre- and post-surgery patient care such as shaving, transporting, and applying dressings

Shifts are 8 hours in length.

Required Qualifications

• NBSTSA (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting) certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Minimum of 3 years recent experience as a Surgical Technologist in a hospital setting, including experience within the last year

• This position is a replacement for permanent staff
