Travel RN Opportunity – ICU/IMC Float
Location: Lake Havasu City, Arizona
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Overview
- Specialty: ICU / IMC Float (Intensive Care Unit / Intermediate Care Unit)
- Shift: 7 AM – 7 PM or 7 PM – 7 AM
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
- Weekend Hours: Rotating weekends
- Unit: 2nd Floor, Trauma Level 3 facility
- Patient Population: Adult / Geriatric
- Patient Ratios:
- ICU: 1:2
- IMC: 1:3 or 1:4
Unit Details
- Number of Beds:
- ICU: 16 beds
- IMC (including ICU Overflow): 30 beds
- Float Requirements: Float between ICU main, ICU Overflow, and IMC (stepdown unit)
- Equipment: Baxter Infusion Pumps, GE Monitoring
- EHR System: Medhost
Required Qualifications
- Experience:
- Minimum 2 years recent acute care experience
- At least 1 year travel experience preferred
- ICU / Critical Care experience required
- Certifications:
- ACLS (Required)
- BLS (Required)
- NIH Certification (Required)
- Preferred: TNCC, PALS
- Licenses: Current state Registered Nurse license
- Skills:
- Must have ICU / Critical Care skills
- Preferred experience with mixed ICU, Cardiac/CVICU
- Common Diagnoses/Treatments: CABG, TAVR, STEMI, NSTEMI, Stroke, Trauma, cardiovascular, neuro, medical-surgical ICU/IMC
Additional Information
- No block schedule requests; 48-hour shifts can be considered but are not guaranteed
- Scrub color: Black scrubs required
- Facility is a Joint Commission Accredited community hospital and regional referral center with 171 beds
- Location offers outdoor recreation with mountain and lake scenery, near major cities such as Las Vegas, Phoenix, Grand Canyon, Los Angeles, and San Diego
