Surgical Tech - Travel Contract

Location: Stockton, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Unit: Operating Room (OR)
• Shift: Days
• Hours per day: 12
• Hours per week: 36
• Call requirement: 4-5 calls in a 4-week schedule (may vary)
• Floating: No floating; Days, every other weekend, first to float
• Scrub color/uniform: Provided
• Charge nurse on staff

Caseload & Case Types

• Average cases per day: 23-25
• Number of OR rooms running daily: 8 rooms plus 2 Heart rooms (total 9-10)
• Types of cases: General surgery, Vascular, Orthopedic, Endoscopy, Urology
• Trauma cases present but not primary focus
• Strong Open Heart Surgery program with Cardiovascular OR (CVOR) support needed
• Opportunity for mid-shift scrub techs with CVOR experience (8-12 hour shifts starting at 10:30 am)

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a CVOR Technologist, including experience within the last year
• Completion of at least one travel assignment as a Surgical Technologist
• Active BLS certification
• Surgical Technologist experience
• Completion of all MyJourney modules prior to arrival is mandatory (no exceptions)

Additional Notes

• Flexibility for mid-shift CVOR scrub tech roles if interested
• The unit handles a high volume and variety of surgical cases, including complex cardiac surgeries
• This is a travel contract opportunity in a busy hospital OR setting
