Night Respiratory Therapist

Overview

  • Role: Night Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
  • Specialty / Unit: Respiratory Care Department

  • Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts
  • Hours: 36 hours guaranteed per week
  • Length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

  • License / credential: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) via NBRC
  • Experience: 2 years of experience
  • Certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), PALS (AHA)
  • Driver’s license: Required at submittal

Preferred

  • CRT with 5–7 years of experience
  • RRT with 2–3 years of experience
  • NRP
  • At least 2 years of recent relevant background

Job Details

  • General respiratory care
  • Covers pre- and post-surgical areas and the ED
  • Responds to rapid response and code blue calls
  • Must be competent in nebulizer administration and ventilator management
  • Must be able to work independently and provide patient assessment and treatment recommendations
  • Every other weekend
  • No call

Additional Notes

  • Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care departments
  • Radius rule: 50 miles
  • Candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity
