Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Location: Grand Island, Nebraska
Shift: Nights (12-hour shifts, 36 hours guaranteed)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Provide general respiratory care across all care areas including pre- and post-surgical units and Emergency Department (ED)
• Respond to rapid response and code blue calls
• Competent in nebulizer administration and ventilator management
• Must possess knowledge and skills to meet the needs of all age groups
• Ability to work independently and provide proper patient assessment and treatment recommendations

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Nebraska
• Minimum 2 years of recent relevant experience in respiratory therapy, including experience within the last year
• Certifications required:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• Valid driver’s license required at submittal (used to verify candidate location within 50 miles radius)

Additional Information

• Fingernail policy: Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care departments; refusal to comply may result in contract termination
• Shift details: Night shift from 1800 to 0630, with 1 night every other weekend off
• Radius rule: Candidates must live within 50 miles and may not be currently employed full-time, part-time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity
