Labor & Delivery RN

Role

Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse in a Critical Access Hospital providing OB/Labor and Delivery services for the community.
Shift: 7 pm to 7 am, varying nights of the week.
Contract length: 13 weeks.
Hours per week: 36.

Location

Sitka, Alaska

Required Qualifications

Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in Alaska or another U.S. state.
Direct hire must have applied for an Alaska nursing license at the time of hire.
Agency staff must have an active Alaska license.
Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP.
Must have Alaska RN License at time of submission.
Must have or obtain flu vaccination.
ICPA background check required.
Fingerprint cards must arrive in Juneau within 1 week of accepting offer.
Competency in the use of all equipment in the specialty.
Clinical competency required within 3 months and every 3 years.
High Risk Competency required within 3 months and every year.

Work Setting / Scope

Labor and Delivery care includes labor, delivery, recovery, immediate postpartum care, fetal monitoring, newborn care, and emergency response.
May float to other departments or assignments as needed.
On-call may be required.
