CT Technologist

Location: Chico, California
Employment Type: Permanent full time
Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts, variable days off

Role Summary

Performs CT and general diagnostic radiographic imaging procedures at a technical level without direct supervision. Responsibilities include operating CT and X-ray equipment, administering contrast media, performing intravenous contrast injections, and preparing the patient room, equipment, supplies, and medications.

Required Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in California
• CT Technologist experience within the last year
• 1 year of CT Technologist experience
• BLS

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years of diagnostic x-ray experience
• 1 year of CT experience
• Current radiographic contrast media and venapuncture certification
• Current ARRT license
• California radiologic technologist fluoroscopy permit
• Advanced CT certification

Skills and Knowledge

• Knowledge of human structure and function, cross-sectional anatomy, patient care, positioning, radiographic exposure, quality assurance, radiation physics, radiation protection, radiobiology, and specialized CT/radiologic techniques
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
