Bone Marrow Transplant RN
Role
- Contract Registered Nurse on the 4th floor Bone Marrow Transplant unit in Oncology/Hematology
- Travel assignment
- 3 openings
Schedule
- 7:00a–7:30p
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Every 3rd weekend required
- Holidays as needed
- 1 call requirement
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Indiana
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Bone Marrow Transplant (1 year of experience)
- Bone Marrow Transplant experience within the last year
- BLS
- Blood administration
- Electrolyte replacement
- Neuro assessment skills
- Central line dressing changes
- High risk and hazardous drug administration
- Critical Care Float experience
- Stepdown experience
Preferred Qualifications
- ACLS
- ONS chemotherapy immunotherapy certificate
- Oncology/Hematology experience
- Chemotherapy administration
- BMT experience
- Critical care experience including vents and drips
Unit Details
- 17 beds
- Patient ratios: 1:1, 1:2, 1:3
- Equipment includes vents, Alaris Pumps, Phillips monitors, Stryker beds, Sara Steady, and patient lifts
Float Scope
- May float to like units including stepdown, critical care, and oncology
- May be asked to go to acute care specialty units if needed
Additional Information
- Mandatory education must be completed before the first day
- 3 shifts of orientation are provided
- Navy scrubs required
