Clinical Pharmacist

Overview

• Travel assignment in Reno, Nevada
• 13-week contract
• 7 days on/7 days off schedule, Thursday–Wednesday, 7:00pm–7:00am
• Partial shifts will be solo pharmacist shifts
• Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
• Call requirements to be discussed during interview

Required Qualifications

• Valid Pharmacist license in Nevada
• Pharmacist experience within the last year
• 1 year of experience as a Pharmacist
• BLS issued by American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications

• Two years as a practicing pharmacist
• Knowledge and experience in a medication therapy management program
• Retail pharmacy experience

Role Details

• Provides evidence-based pharmaceutical care services, including pharmacotherapy consults, disease management support, medication reconciliation, assessment of polypharmacy issues, and recommendations supporting the patient’s longitudinal plan of care
• May conduct drug utilization analysis, support formulary management, and compound, prepare, label, and dispense medications depending on department needs
• Provides face-to-face, telephonic, or virtual visit pharmaceutical care services
• Participates in interdisciplinary rounds
• This position provides patient care

Schedule and Assignment Notes

• May be required to float to the needs of the organization up to competency level
• May be required to work major holidays and one additional shift during the schedule period
• Schedule may include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts
• Low-census call-off may occur with 48 hours’ notice per 13-week contract
• Partial shifts may be full or partial call-offs depending on census

Setting

• Fast-paced environment serving a 500-mile radius
• Level II trauma center with stroke accreditation
• 800 inpatient beds and 80 ER beds
• The volume and pace are described as comparable to a Level I trauma center
