RN - Rapid Response

Overview

• Travel RN role in the Emergency Department
• Start: rapid response start, 5–7 days from offer
• Contract length: 6 weeks
• Hours per week: 48
• Schedule: every other weekend
• No RTO or special scheduling

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Texas
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Critical Care Float experience within the last year
• 1 year of Critical Care Float experience
• Rapid Response experience
• BLS
• ACLS
• PALS
• TNCC

Preferred Qualifications

• ENPC

Unit Details

• Emergency Department
• 30 physical beds and 8 hall beds
• Patient ratio: 1:4
• EMR: Meditech

Commonly Used Equipment

• Baxter IV pumps
• GE Monitors
• Ventilators
• BiPAP/CPAP
• Belmont Rapid Infusers
• portable EKG machine

Typical Procedures

• NIH
• IV/blood draws
• Moderate Sedation
• TNK
• Cardiac monitoring

Team / Staffing Notes

• Unit staff includes CNs, RNs, and Paramedic or LVN coverage on day and night shifts

• Floor: 2nd
• Building: 504
• Dress code: royal blue scrubs
