Registered Nurse (Med Surg) - Travel Position
Location: Indianapolis, Indiana
Job Details
- Employment Type: Travel
- Contract Length: 16 weeks
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, every 3rd weekend (Friday and Saturday)
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
- On-Call Requirements: None
- Unit: Medical Surgical (Med Surg)
- Number of Beds: 30
- Patient Ratio: 1:5 or 1:6
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Epic
- Float Requirements: Must be able to float to like units
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana
- Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- At least 2 years of total travel nursing experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Ability to float to like units
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Acute Care / Medical Surgical settings

- Patient Population: Medical Surgical patients
- Personality Fit: Positive attitude, team player, flexible with work schedule
- Dress Code: Navy scrubs required; hoodies, non-scrub jackets, and crocs are not allowed
Orientation & Reporting
- Must be available every day during the first week for orientation and onboarding
- Reporting location is on the 4th floor Heart Center; parking available in designated yellow-lined spots near the ER
This position is ideal for experienced travel RNs seeking a Medical Surgical assignment with a consistent night shift schedule and a supportive team environment.
