Travel RN Opportunity – Frankfort, Kentucky
Position Details
- Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN)
- Location: Frankfort, Kentucky
- Employment Type: Travel
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
Experience & Licensing Requirements
- Minimum 2 years ICU experience in a hospital setting required
- Must have an active Kentucky or Compact nursing license at submission
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Current NIH certification required (must be renewed annually)
Unit Information
- Unit: 650, Main Building
- Number of Beds: 10
- Patient Ratios: 2:1 and 3:1
- Staffing: Clinical Nurse Coordinators (CNC), RNs, Patient Care Technicians (PCTs), Nurse Externs
- Equipment: Philips Telemetry, Baxter pumps, iMobile, ventilators, glucometer
- Documentation System: Meditech Expanse
- Scheduling: Every other weekend, three 12-hour shifts
- Floating Policy: May float to PCU, 3rd floor, or Emergency Department (ED)

- CPap and BiPap management
- Port access
- Therapeutic phlebotomy

- Chest tubes
- NG tubes
- Wound vacs
- Drains
- Post-dialysis assessment
- Central lines
- Blood transfusion
- Ventilator management
- Procedures Performed:
- Telemetry monitoring
- Paracentesis (physician-led)
- BiPap
- Therapeutic phlebotomy
Certifications Required
- Active nursing license in good standing (KY or Compact)
- BLS
- ACLS
- NIH certification (annual)
Dress Code
- Navy or gray scrubs
