Registered Nurse (NICU) - Travel Assignment

Location: Portland, Maine
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 26 weeks (approximately 6 months)
Shift: 36 hours per week, rotating day/night shifts, every other weekend

Job Description

Support a 31-bed Level III/IV NICU, a 20-bed Level II NICU, and a 10-bed Level II NICU satellite.
The NICU is currently operating above capacity with a census of 61+ patients across three physical locations due to construction and expanded operations.
Staffing needs are high due to increased patient volume, multiple leave of absences, and geographic spread of units.
Travelers will help maintain nurse-to-patient ratios, offset leave impacts, and support safe, high-quality neonatal care during a period of sustained census surge and construction.
Orientation period of 2-3 days before assuming assignments.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maine
Minimum of 2 years of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
