Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - OR

Location: San Antonio, Texas
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

Unit: Operating Room (OR) with 5 ORs
Specialty: Surgery (including orthopedics, general, gynecology, robotics, urology, vascular, cardiovascular, neuro, thoracic)
Patient Ratio: 1:1
Equipment: Basic OR equipment such as cautery, video monitors, arthroscopy equipment, positioning equipment
EMR System: Meditech
Staffing:
- 5 Full-Time RNs (including Manager and Boardrunner)
- 2 Part-Time RNs (one on FMLA)
- 3 PRN RNs
- 12 Surgical Techs

Work Schedule & Call Requirements

Call rotation: Weeknights Friday (11 PM) to Saturday (7 AM)
1-2 rotating weekend call shifts
Must fulfill rotating call: minimum one night per week and one weekend per 5-week schedule

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
Minimum 1 year of Operating Room (OR) nursing experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in any of the following surgical specialties is preferred:
Orthopedics, General Surgery, Gynecology, Robotics, Urology, Vascular, Cardiovascular, Neuro, Thoracic

Personality Fit

Flexible, caring, compassionate, and willing attitude

Additional Information

Dress code: Scrubs provided at the facility
Floating: None required
