Registered Nurse - Med Surg (Cardiology)

Job Details

• Specialty: Cardiology / Medical-Surgical
• Shift: Nights, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (18:45 - 07:15)
• Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Call Requirements: None
• Patient Ratio: 1:6
• Unit Beds: 30
• EMR System: Cerner
• Equipment: Standard acute care equipment

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama
• Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Preferred Experience & Skills

• Experience in Medical-Surgical nursing with Cardiology preferred
• Acute care skills highly valued
• Comfortable caring for pre- and post-heart catheterization patients, general cardiology cases (e.g., chest pain, hypertension), and med-surg patients
