Job Opportunity: RN - Telemetry (Travel)

Location: Saint Louis, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks (3 months)
Shift: Nights, 4x12 hour shifts (7 PM - 7 AM)
Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours (36 or 48 hours available upon request)
Weekend Hours: As needed; typically every other full weekend required
Holidays: Expected to work at least one major winter holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year’s Day)
Call Requirements: None

Specialty & Experience Requirements

• Specialty: Med Surg & Telemetry Short Stay
• Required Years of Experience: 2+ years of Telemetry experience
• Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required
• Required Certifications: NIHSS, BLS, ACLS

Unit & Patient Information

• Unit: 7E Telemetry
• Patient Population: Adults only, approximately 50% Medical / 50% Telemetry patients
• Typical Patient Ratios: 4-6 patients per nurse
• Equipment: Standard nursing equipment for Telemetry unit
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): EPIC

Job Responsibilities

• Perform direct patient care activities including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for all adult age groups
• Coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient comfort and outcomes
• Function within the scope of nursing practice consistent with Missouri Nurse Practice Act and facility standards
• Float to other units as needed/customary

Additional Information

• Flu vaccination required for all travelers from November 1 to April 1 (exemptions require approval)
• Dress code: Black scrubs required
• Personality fit: Team player, strong communication skills, focused on positive patient outcomes
• Time off: Up to 5 days off per 13-week contract automatically approved; additional time off requires approval and may need to be made up
• Manager interviews all candidates within 24 hours of offer; final approval required
