Travel LPN/LVN - Neuro Specialty

Location: Saint Louis, Missouri
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details

• Specialty: Neuro (Neurosurgical Unit)
• Shift: Night (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed
• Weekend Hours: As needed
• Call Requirements: None
• Number of Openings: 1
• Patient Ratios: 1:5-6
• EMR System: EPIC
• Float Requirements: As needed within scope

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in inpatient acute care, specifically Med Surg and Neuro
• Required Certifications:

  • BLS
  • Missouri Approved IV Certification (must be included in application)
• Flu vaccination required for travel period November 1 - April 1 (exemptions require approval)
• Inpatient experience is mandatory

Job Summary

• Provide patient care in a Neurosurgical unit caring for patients with stroke, seizures, MS, back/head/spinal and other neurological diagnoses or neurosurgery procedures
• Utilize the nursing process under supervision of licensed prescriber or RN
• Maintain professional accountability for assigned patients
• Coordinate patient care with other departments
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality

• Focus on neuro-surgical patients
• Equipment: FIT test required on site
• Dress Code: Black scrubs
