Unit Overview
- Unit: Labor and Delivery
- Number of Beds: 32
- Number of Staff: 150
- Patient Ratios: 1:2
- Shift: Rotating nights and days (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), alternating weekends
- Call Requirement: No call required
- Typical Procedures: SVD, cerclages, C-Sections, TOLAC
- Equipment Used: Novii, JADA, Fetal Pillow, IUPC, FSE, Toco, Ultrasound
- EMR System: Meditech
- Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs; no t-shirts allowed, only solid blue/black/grey sweatshirts
Requirements
- Specialty: Labor and Delivery RN
- Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years in Labor and Delivery (higher value from description)
- Certifications:
- ACLS
- AWHONN
- BLS
- NRP
- PALS
- Licenses: Registered Nurse License
- Skills Required:
- EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring)
- ACLS, BLS, NRP, SVE competency
- C-Section circulation
- Preferred Skills:
- Internal monitor placement competency
- Previous experience with HCA assignments/employment
- Experience in a Level IV (high volume) unit
