Location: Tuscaloosa, Alabama

Job Details

Employment Type: Travel
Unit: 36-bed telemetry unit focused on respiratory disorders
Patient Ratio: 1:6
Schedule: 36 or 48 hours per week, every other weekend, holidays as required
Float Requirement: Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals
EMR System: Meditech
Dress Code: Solid navy scrubs
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Parking: Available

Job Description

Provide specialized care for patients with a variety of lung diseases or injuries
Collaborate closely with respiratory therapy, physical therapy, care management, and pharmacy
Requires a foundation in general medicine and expertise in respiratory nursing skills

Requirements

Education: Associate Degree in Nursing
Licenses: Registered Nurse license in Alabama or Compact license (No temporary licenses accepted)
Certifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS)
Experience: Minimum 2 years nursing experience; will consider 18 months if working under highest professional license, with at least 1 year in pulmonary specialty
