Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Location: Wausau, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (8-hour days starting between 6 and 8 AM, occasional flexibility)
Hours per Week: 40 hours guaranteed (except during holidays when unit is closed)

Job Description

• Perform general nuclear medicine studies including common exams such as bone scan, renal, HIDA, gastric emptying, thyroid, lymphoscintigraphy, cardiac, and parathyroid imaging.
• Use equipment including Symbia Evo SPECT, Symbia Intevo SPECT/CT, Capintec Thyroid probe, and Siemens Biograph Vision X PET/CT Scanner.
• May be required to float to nearby locations if needed.
• On-call may be required during low census periods with a minimum 2-hour callback pay.
• Charting experience with Epic and Merge PACS required; training provided.
• Siemens equipment experience is a plus.
• Flu and COVID vaccination required during flu season or mask must be worn at all times per policy.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience within the last year.
• Associate Degree or Certificate in a related field.
• Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Certification as ARRT(N) or CNMT.
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system.

Additional Information

• Traveler must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility.
• Scrub attire: any color or print, must be clean and work appropriate.
• Contract includes eligibility for 36 hours of unbillable low census hours.
• No weekend or holiday call rotation.
