ICU Nurse Opportunity - Indio, California
Employment Type: Long Term
Shift: 12-hour days (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM)
Start Date: ASAP, weekly starts
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Requirements
- California RN license in hand
- BLS and ACLS certifications
Patient Population
- Adult and Geriatric patients
- Nurse to Patient Ratio: Typically 1:2
- Unit Size: 16 beds
Common Diagnoses / Treatments
- Acute respiratory failure
- Septic shock
- Cardiogenic shock
- Multi-organ failure
- STEMI
- Acute on chronic renal failure
- Altered mental status
- Diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA)
Clinical Skills & Procedures
- Arterial line insertion
- Bronchoscopy
- Intubation
- Central line insertion
- Chest tube insertion
- Titration of vasoactive drips including norepinephrine, epinephrine, dopamine, phenylephrine, and dobutamine
Equipment & Technology
- Cerner Millennium charting system
- Alaria pumps
- Nihon Koden monitoring
- Lift equipment
- Arctic Sun (Targeted Temperature Management)
- Rotoprone beds
Additional Information
- Float support available approximately 1 shift per week, 2 times per month
- Scrub color: Navy Blue
