Pharmacist Travel Job – Austin, Texas

Job Summary

• Manage the medication process to promote pharmaceutical care.
• Identify, prevent, and resolve potential and actual drug-related problems.
• Perform duties as a registered pharmacist, providing care appropriate for patients from newborn to adult.
• Ensure medication doses are appropriate based on diagnosis, weight/body surface area, allergies, and drug interactions.
• Accurately enter medication orders and ensure correct dispensing with no medication incidents.
• Process medication orders and deliver doses within established guidelines.
• Follow aseptic technique and infection control in sterile product preparation; ensure compliance among technicians and pharmacists.
• Complete annual re-certification with a minimum 90% score on aseptic technique/infection control skills and written exam.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Pharmacist license in Texas.
• Minimum 2 years of pharmacist experience, including experience within the last year.
• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy, Pharm.D., or Ph.D. in Pharmacy.
• IV Certification.
• Proficient in aseptic technique and infection control in the preparation of sterile products.
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system.

Work Schedule

• Day shift: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
• 10-hour variable shifts.
• Rotating weekends.
• Approximately 40 hours per week.

Contract Length

• Approximately 14 weeks.
