Location

Bakersfield, California

Contract Length

13 weeks

Schedule

8-hour shifts with varied start times
Monday through Friday
Optional weekends and on-call

Required Qualifications

Echo Technician experience within the last year
2 years of Echo Technician experience
Participation in at least 600 cardiac ultrasounds
Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) issued by ARDMS or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) issued by CCI
Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
High school diploma or equivalent

Key Responsibilities

Perform transthoracic echocardiography, including regular, contrast, and Dobutamine studies
Assist with cardiac stress testing procedures
Prepare preliminary and final reports for cardiology review and patient medical records
Set up and monitor patients and equipment during exercise and pharmacologic stress testing
Inspect and adjust malfunctioning electro-diagnostic equipment or notify supervisor of needed repairs
Maintain records, inventory, and a clean work environment
Support patient communication, informed consent, and coordination of appointments and services
