Registered Nurse (RN) – Medicine Specialty
Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Staffing - Supplier Sourced
Contract Length: Approximately 13 weeks
Job Summary
Provide nursing care under general supervision to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex in a hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage care for an assigned group of patients.
- Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed treatments; note changes in physician orders.
- Assist physicians with patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures.
- Obtain and monitor patients’ physiological data; observe and intervene as necessary.
- Administer medications, initiate and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products.
- Deliver competent patient care and communicate care plans to patients and families during hospitalization and at discharge.
- Inform patients and families about hospital procedures.
- Make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel.
- Delegate tasks to support staff.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Oklahoma.
- Minimum 1 year of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience within the last year.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Additional Information
- Must maintain good working relationships with other employees.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
