Registered Nurse - Electrophysiology Lab
Location: Syracuse, New York
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: Varied shifts including 4-10 hour shifts (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM) and 5-8 hour shifts (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM or 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)
Schedule: No weekends, no holidays, no on-call
Job Description
- Provide nursing care in the Electrophysiology (EP) Lab.
- Must have prior Electrophysiology experience.
- Work 40 hours per week with varied shifts as discussed during the interview.
- Use of Epic Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
Required Qualifications
Licensure & Certifications
- Valid RN license in New York.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification.
Education
- Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing.
Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of Electrophysiology Lab experience within the last year.
Health & Safety Requirements
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination, booster (valid through October 2026), or approved exemption (declination not accepted in CA or IL).
- MMR vaccination proof or IgG titer lab results.
- Varicella vaccination proof or IgG titer lab results.
- Hepatitis B vaccination series initiated prior to start (titers not accepted).
- 2-step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) testing with recent results as per regional requirements; positive TB requires recent chest x-ray and medical evaluation.
- Annual influenza vaccine is optional.
- Fit test for N95 masks (specific mask brands/models required depending on state).
- Physical/health statement confirming fitness to work within the last year.
- 10-panel drug screen completed within 30 days of start (including methadone, phencyclidine, benzodiazepines, cocaine, propoxyphene, amphetamines, opiates, 6-acetyl morphine, methaqualone, barbiturates).
Professional & Compliance Documentation
- Resume, skills checklist (within one year), and two professional references.
- Criminal background check (federal, nationwide, county) within 30 days of start.
- Education verification of highest academic degree or diploma.
- EPLS (Excluded Parties List System) and OIG (Office of Inspector General) clearance within 30 days.
- Integrity and audit services form signed within 30 days prior to start.
- Confidentiality, conflict of interest, code of conduct, and system security agreements signed and on file.
- Standard I-9 verification completed by agency.
- System access form completed and uploaded one week before start.
Additional Notes
- Mask fit testing may be completed onsite if not done prior to start, with additional paperwork.
- All required documentation must be uploaded into the credentialing system before or at onboarding.
- This position does not require weekend, holiday, or on-call work.
