Schedule

Shift: Day or night, 3x12 hours
Weekend requirement: Every other weekend; blocked weekend scheduling may be available
On-call: Not required
Guaranteed hours: 48 per week

Clinical setting

Patient ratios: 1:1 or 1:2; if floated to NICU, ratio may be 1:3
Float expectations: May float within scope between NICU, PICU, and CVPICU
Facility type: Magnet, teaching, Level I trauma
Bed count: 320 staffed beds

Required qualifications

Valid RN license in District of Columbia
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Critical Care Float experience within the last year
2 years of Critical Care Float experience
PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care experience
CVPICU experience
NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
CHEMO - Chemotherapy
