LVN / LPN LTAC Float Pool
Job Overview
- Location: Baltimore, Maryland
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Contract length: 12 weeks
- Shift: Night, 3x12 hours
- Weekly hours: 36
- Schedule notes: Every other weekend required
- Setting: Float pool position supporting like units as needed
Required Qualifications
- Valid LPN / LVN license in Maryland
- LPN / LVN (2 years of experience)
- LPN / LVN experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- Experience in a Long Term Acute Care setting
- Locked-unit care experience
- Behavior-management techniques
- Care of patients with degenerative disorders
- Care of patients with schizophrenia-spectrum disorders
- Skilled Nursing experience
- Med Surg experience
- Telemetry experience
- Behavioral Health experience
Preferred Qualifications
- LTAC experience
- Experience with locked-unit care, Medical-Surgical/Telemetry, and skilled nursing
- Experience supporting Behavioral Health patients, including behavior-management techniques and care for patients with degenerative disorders and schizophrenia-spectrum disorders
- Cerner and PointClickCare familiarity
Work Expectations
- Must be comfortable floating within scope to LTAC, LTC, skilled nursing, Medical-Surgical/Telemetry, locked Behavioral Health, rehabilitation, and Stepdown/PCU units
- Must be comfortable supporting both medical and Behavioral Health patient populations
- Assignments are based on unit, patient acuity, and staffing needs

- 24 hours of orientation across 4 of 5 units
- Navy blue scrubs required
