Infusion RN

Overview

• Travel/contract RN role in Charleston, West Virginia
• Day shift: 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed hours: 40 per week
• Daily caseload: 70
• Patient ratio experience: 1:4
• First-time travelers accepted
• No on-call
• No floating within scope
• No floating to sister facilities
• No block schedule accommodation
• Local candidates not accepted
• Candidate must live more than 100 miles from the facility
• Permanent employees cannot return as travelers for 3 years after their last permanent date worked
• Clean license required; no prior suspensions allowed
• Probations are reviewed case by case
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption is required
• COVID-19 vaccination is not mandatory

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in West Virginia
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• 2 years of infusion experience
• Infusion experience within the last year
• BLS certification
• Driver's License
• Social Security card
• Must complete required background screening and facility compliance checks before start

Required Skills

• CBCT/kV/mV imaging
• External beam therapy
• IMRT (Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy)
• Prophylactic treatments
• Radiation safety

Preferred Experience

• Infusion center experience
• Inpatient and outpatient oncology experience

Schedule and Work Setting

• Orientation occurs every other Thursday
• Orientation includes Cerner Infusion Management
• Scrub color: royal blue

Submission Requirements

Compliance and Health Requirements

• Annual fit testing required
• Tdap vaccination required
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray required
• Measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella immunity/vaccination documentation required
• Hepatitis B immunity documentation required
• Drug screen required
• Physical exam required within 1 year of start and updated annually
• Annual skills checklist required for the specialty
• Annual in-service training required before start
• Pass/fail testing and medication/pharmacology competency exam required for nursing candidates
• Color blind testing required before start
• State license verification and NURSYS verification required within 30 days of start
• SAM, OIG, and sex offender searches required within 30 days of start and updated annually
