Overview

Travel/contract role in Minneapolis, Minnesota
13-week assignment
Evening and night shifts, 5x8 schedule
40 hours per week
First-time travelers are not accepted
Local candidates are not accepted; 100-mile radius restriction applies
Pending state license is accepted
Weekend work is required based on department needs

Required Qualifications

Sterile Processing Technician with 2 years of experience
Sterile Processing Technician experience within the last year
One completed travel assignment
CBSPD or HSPA certification
Decontamination experience
Assembly/Wrap experience
Scope/Probe Reprocessing experience
High-Level Disinfection (HLD) experience
OB/GYN instrument/tray reprocessing
Plastic instrument/tray reprocessing
ENT instrument/tray reprocessing
Dental instrument/tray reprocessing
Ophthalmology instrument/tray reprocessing
Cardiovascular/Thoracic instrument/tray reprocessing
Must pass a criminal background check, EPLS/GSA/SAM check, HHS/OIG check, fingerprinting, RespSafety clearance, medication test/pharmacology competency exam, competency exam, and skills checklist
Must complete a physical exam within 12 months before start
Tdap is required
Negative TB or chest X-ray documentation is required
Measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and hepatitis B immunization or immunity documentation is required
Drug testing is required within 1 year of start
References are required for client clearance
Skills checklist is required annually

Schedule and Assignment Details

Works weekends per department needs
No on-call requirement
No floating within scope
No floating to sister facilities
Block scheduling is not accommodated
No more than 5 days of requested time off

Scrubs are provided by the unit
Parking is available at a flat rate of $0.55 per hour
Charting system: Excellian/Epic
Latex is not used on campus
