Overview
- Location: Columbus, Ohio
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Day or night, 3x12 hours
- Weekly hours: 36
- Schedule notes: Weekend and rotating holidays
- Floating: Required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity, and to different units as needed
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Ohio
- Med Surg (1 year of experience)
- Med Surg experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- IV start capability
- Experience with Epic
Preferred
- Telemetry experience
- Prior travel experience
Required Health / Compliance Items
- Physical exam
- Tdap
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray
- MMR immunity for measles, mumps, and rubella
- Hepatitis B immunity or declination
- Varicella immunity
- Negative 10-panel drug screen
- Flu vaccination or declination during flu season
- COVID vaccination is recommended, not required
Additional Notes
- EPIC experience is required
- Unit-specific competency exam required
- Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam required for RNs within 1 year of start and annually thereafter, unless exempt by unit or role
- Orientation safety manual acknowledgment required annually
- Fraud, waste, and abuse training and compliance acknowledgment are required
- References: 2 professional references, including at least 1 from a manager/director or formal leader
