Job Overview
- Travel/contract position in Seattle, Washington
- Pediatric intensive care unit role
- 13-week assignment
- Rotating days/nights or straight nights
- 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
- Ratios: 1:1 or 1:2
- First-time travelers accepted
- Local candidates accepted
- Guaranteed hours
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Washington
- PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care (2 years of experience)
- PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care experience within the last year
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Schedule and Time Off
- No RTO within the first 2 weeks of the assignment
- Only 1 week of RTO can be approved
- RTO must be included on the initial submission
- Traveler must work 2 of the 3 holiday groupings
- 6 weekends required for a 13-week assignment
Floating and Coverage
- May float within scope as needed
- Includes one orientation shift in CICU for floating
- May float to acute care and NICU
Additional Notes
- On-call is not required
- Block scheduling is not available
- Potential for precepting
Facility Details
- Pediatric teaching, Magnet, Level I Trauma facility
- 407 staffed beds
- EPIC charting
- Any color scrub top or T-shirt top that is age appropriate and kid friendly
Compliance and Pre-Start Items
- E-Verify required
- 7-year criminal background check required
- Annual EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required
- Official transcript and diploma required
- Photo for badge required on a blue background
- Physical exam within 1 year
- Fit test required before start and must remain valid through the assignment
- Tdap required
- Negative TB screening required
- TB questionnaire required
- Measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and hepatitis B immunity or vaccination documentation required
- Negative 9-panel drug screen required within 1 year
- Flu vaccination or declination required during flu season
- Respirator clearance required if using a respirator
- Skills checklist required
- Competency exam required
- Dysrhythmia/EKG exam required for PICU
- Modules required before start for RNs
