Shift: Night, 4x12 hours, 19:00–7:30
Hours per Week: 48

Overview

• High-risk, high-volume Labor and Delivery assignment with 4 ORs.
• Functions as Baby Nurse during delivery and continues newborn care until transfer to postpartum.
• CIRCULATE is a hard-stop requirement.
• Float scope includes Postpartum and Antepartum, with possible float to sister facilities that do Mother/Baby.
• 1st timers accepted.
• Work every other weekend and holidays as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Washington.
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Labor and Delivery experience within the last year.
• 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience.
• BLS.
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure.
• EFM - Electronic Fetal Monitoring.
• 3–5 years of experience minimum.
• 2 years of experience in a high-acuity, high-pace environment.
• High-risk experience.
• Current supervisory references.
• Proof of required certifications with submission.
• Current NURSYS.
• EPIC familiarity is a hard stop.
• Ability to circulate and provide newborn care, including eyes and thighs assessments, Vit K injections, and newborn assessments.

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS.
• AWHONN Advanced.
• AWHONN Intermediate.
• 5 years of high-risk experience.

• Average daily census: 15
• 500–600 deliveries per month

Additional Notes

• Staffing follows AWHONN guidelines.
• Midwifery clients, private OBs, Adult Recovery Services supporting substance recovery, and community care clinics are part of the patient mix.
• Pre-approved time off is considered case by case.
