Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology Travel/Contract Position

Location: Columbus, Ohio
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
  • Employment Type: Travel/Contract
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
  • Work Locations: Main Campus and 4 offsite locations (Lewis Center, Dublin, Westerville, Canal Winchester)
  • Note: No travel between locations on the same day; assigned to one location per day
  • No call, holiday, or weekend coverage required
  • Certification Required: ARDMS or CCI-RCS

Required Credentials & Certifications

  • ARDMS or CCI-RCS certification
  • ACLS (AHA Instructor, Provider, or RQI)
  • BLS (AHA Instructor, Provider, or RQI)
  • PALS (AHA Instructor, Provider, or RQI)
  • NRP (AHA AAP certification) – required for NICU RNs
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) as applicable
  • ENPC as applicable
  • State License: Ohio State or Compact RN license for RNs; Ohio State license for RRTs
  • NURSYS Verification for RNs and LPNs/LVNs
  • Tech Certification (e.g., NBRC for RRTs) within 30 days of start

Compliance & Background Requirements

  • Criminal Background Check within 30 days of start (7-year search including all counties lived/worked)
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start
  • Fingerprinting (OH BCI/FBI) within 60 days of start, updated for each new contract
  • Education Verification through National Student Clearinghouse or in-house verification if needed
  • Sex Offender Search within 30 days of start (standalone verification)
  • Ohio-specific searches within 30 days: Nurse Aide Registry, Inmate Registry, Medicaid Exemption, Abuse Registry
  • Drug Testing: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 60 days of start (instant acceptable)
  • References: 2 professional references required (Charge RN acceptable for one; peer references not accepted)
  • Employment Application or Resume required
  • Unit-specific Skills Checklist, updated annually

Health & Immunization Requirements

  • Physical Exam: Must be current within 1 year of start (screenshots/photos not accepted)
  • Fit Mask (N95) Testing: Required within 1 year of start, updated annually
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years of start
  • TB Testing: Negative TB or chest X-ray per facility protocol; TB Questionnaire required at start and annually
  • Immunizations or positive titers required for:
    • Rubeola (Measles)
    • Mumps
    • Rubella
    • Hepatitis B (declination acceptable if negative/equivocal titer)
    • Varicella
  • Seasonal Flu Vaccine: Required October 31 - May 31; medical/religious exemptions accepted with documentation
  • COVID-19 Vaccine: Optional as of August 2023; medical/religious exemptions accepted with documentation

Facility-Specific Documents & Policies

  • Code of Conduct: Must review and sign prior to start
  • Confidentiality and IT Use Agreement: Must review and sign prior to start
  • Affiliating Health Record: Completed by Quality Management
  • Infection Control Policy: Must review and sign prior to start (accepted in lieu of physical exam copy)
  • Fingerprinting Proof of Submission: Must be completed within 24-48 hours of contract signing
  • Fit Test Proof of Appointment: Required if fit test is completed onsite
  • TB Form: Required if not completing a new TB test for assignment
  • Fingerprint Screening Questions: Must be completed prior to start
  • Flu Exemption Policy: Required for candidates with approved flu vaccine exemption
  • Background Attestation: Required if background check is pending with facility approval
  • Tdap Waiver Form: Required if declining Tdap vaccine

Additional Notes

  • Legal name on all documents must match RN or allied license exactly (no nicknames or misspellings)
  • Address on IDs and licenses must match employment records and facility requirements
  • Ohio Driver’s License holders within 60 miles of facility considered local and may have different requirements
  • Candidates undergoing name changes must provide proof and get approval
  • Screenshots or photos of certifications and health documents are not accepted for compliance
  • Candidates have 2 weeks from start to provide fit test documentation if not completed prior
  • Candidates with beards have options for fit testing compliance (shave or PAPR/CAPR)
