Job Details

• Shift: 3x12 or 4x12 hour night shifts (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM)
• Work radius: 60 miles
• Required experience:

  • Minimum 2 years Medical-Surgical (MS) experience
  • At least 1 year experience with medical patient population including renal and diabetic patients
  • Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Prior travel experience: Required (first-time travelers not accepted)
• Orientation: Biweekly, on Mondays
• Licensure: Candidates with pending certifications will be considered
• Required certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Preferred certifications: ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• Dress code: Any color scrubs allowed, professional appearance, child-friendly print tops allowed, scrub/lab coat allowed
• Facility is a nicotine-free campus

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Unexpired government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License/State ID)
• Background checks within 1 year, including SS Trace, County searches (last 7 years), Nationwide, Sex Offender, FACIS Level 3 (updated annually)
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks prior to start
• Certifications verification (BLS required, ACLS preferred, PALS as applicable)
• State license verification and NURSYS verification prior to start
• Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as applicable
• Signed Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement (updated annually)
• Physical exam within 12 months prior to start
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year prior to start
• TB questionnaire annually if applicable
• Immunizations:

  • Rubeola (Measles): 2 vaccines or positive titer (exempt if born before 1957)
  • Mumps: 2 vaccines or positive titer (exempt if born before 1957)
  • Rubella: 2 vaccines or positive titer (exempt if born before 1957)
  • Hepatitis B: Series, positive titer, or declination accepted
  • Varicella: 2 vaccines, positive titer, or history of chickenpox
• Negative 9-panel drug screen within 90 days prior to start
• Flu vaccination required during flu season (medical/religious exemptions accepted with mask requirement)

References & Skills

• Minimum 2 professional references from travel, allied, or per diem acute care within past 3 years
• Skills checklist required
